
Dr Lipsky completed his Ophthalmology training in Israel with honours under the supervision of Professor Anat Loewenstein, a world-renowned ophthalmologist. He then pursued a two-year Anterior Segment and Cornea Fellowship with Professor Graham Barrett, a globally recognised ophthalmologist who has made significant contributions to ophthalmology. This fellowship was held at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and the Lion’s Eye Institute in Perth, Western Australia. During this period, he acquired extensive surgical experience in various areas, including complex cataract surgery, premium intraocular lenses, intricate anterior segment surgery, corneal transplant and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery. He published several articles in peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Lipsky worked as an Anterior Segment Consultant at Tel Aviv Medical Centre in Israel for two years before relocating to New Zealand in 2021. He works as a consultant at Palmerston North Hospital and consults privately at Eye Associates in Crest Specialist Centre.
